Easing the Burden on Caregivers

No matter how much you love your parents, serving as a caregiver can be exhausting. Especially with a full-time job and the emotional strain that often accompanies the decline of a loved one. But unfortunately, that’s the reality of age. Today, there are more than 6.5 million Americans suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, according to statistics from Alz.org, and one in nine individuals over the age of 65 are at risk of memory loss. If you’re taking care of a loved one with memory-care needs, it’s easy to run yourself ragged. There are medications to manage, obstacles to watch out for, and basic activities such as eating, bathing, and using the restroom that need to be considered. That’s in addition to keeping your own life in order. Wouldn’t it be nice if you had an extra set of hands to help with your current responsibilities? Here at Danville Support Services, we offer a variety of in-home care plans designed to meet a variety of different needs and schedules. Whether your parents require round-the-clock care, or you just want someone at home while you’re away, we can provide you and your family the necessary assistance you need. Diseases like Alzheimer’s and Dementia are often challenging to treat, and without someone caring for your aging loved one, most of your day can be spent worrying about whether their needs are being met or if they’re safe. Whatever your individual needs, we’ll be happy to formulate a care plan that gives you peace of mind and ensures top quality assistance for your loved one. Join Our Email List Email
